Library Catalogue

Library Catalogue
  • The Library Catalogue

The Library Catalogue is the place to look up all the stock that is available on our shelves, including books, printed journals, CDs, DVDs and dissertations. You can also access all of our electronic books (eBooks) from the catalogue.

The holdings of all our libraries are available on the Catalogue and, no matter what campus you are studying at, all of the stock is available to you. Items can be sent from campus to campus at your request - select Request, enter your login (see My Account below), check the item details are correct, select your preferred UWS campus for collection and confirm.

This short video gives a brief introduction to our new library catalogue.

    Electronic books

To search for eBooks only on the Catalogue, select Advanced Search from the More Searches dropdown, click the arrow to the right and select "E-book" from the Materials Type list in the Add Limits section. You do not have to be on campus to use our eBooks.

To look for books on a topic, use the keyword option and keep your keywords fairly general. If you are looking for a particular title then you can just enter as much of the title as you know. If searching for author use the author’s last name only.

    My Account

Select My Account to see the items you have on loan, to renew these items, or to check the status of items you have requested.  You will be asked to login.  For UWS students and staff, please enter your network username and password.  External borrowers, please ask library staff for a personal identification number before using this service.

Select the Opt In option if you wish to have previous loans displayed.

We may be able to help if you require access to items not held in stock.  See Services for more details about the Interlibrary Loans service.
