Visitor Information

Dumfries & Galloway offers an extensive range of recreational facilities. It is home to five of the seven mountain bike centres in south-west Scotland and also has over 300 square miles of forest to explore, with the largest forest park in Britain. If golf is of interest, there are in excess of 30 golf courses and driving ranges to put you to the test.

If that all seems a bit too strenuous, you can enjoy a more relaxing trail of the cultural assets of the region; from the stunning castles, to the arts town of Kirkcudbright and Scotland's national book town, Wigtown. After a hard week on the campus, you can also enjoy the spectacular scenery and relaxing environment along the Solway coast which stretches for over 200 miles throughout the region.

  • Population: 32,000
  • Location: South West
Parking
    • There is limited student parking on campus during the day and students are advised to make use of public transport to the campus or to car-share as much as possible.
