Hamilton, Scotland’s 5th largest town, is close to some of the most scenic parts of Scotland and offers a wealth of activities to choose from, sites of historical interest and superb scenery.

Parking
    • Student parking on campus is limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Students are advised to make use of public transport to the campus or to car-share as much as possible. Public car parks and on-street pay and display parking is available in the vicinity of the campus.

Located within the heart of Lanarkshire, Hamilton is well-served with travel links and is centrally located just eleven miles south of Glasgow. Burns Country, Loch Lomond, the Trossachs as well as the cultural cities of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling are all within easy reach. The main rail line from London and the Midlands to Glasgow is ten minutes from Hamilton, and there is also a fast and frequent service from Hamilton to Glasgow. The campus is also within two hours of Stranraer and Cairnryan ferry terminals.

Hamilton offers lots to see and do – including a number of country parks and nature reserves such as Strathclyde Park; and first-class sporting and leisure activities, including football, rugby, golf, tennis, ten-pin bowling, swimming and horse riding. The recently-regenerated town center offers plenty of shopping options as well as a new 9-screen cinema, theatre and a host of diverse pubs, nightclubs and restaurants.

Lanarkshire offers an ideal combination of town and country living, with good access to the cities of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling.

    • From Glasgow, exit M74 at Junction 5, then follow signs for Hamilton
    • Trains run every 30 minutes from Glasgow Central to Hamilton. The campus is 5 minutes walk from Hamilton West Train Station
    • Buses No 201, 263 (First Glasgow) pass the campus
