The lecture by Douglas Alexander MP, Secretary of State for International Development took place on the Paisley Campus.
Douglas Alexander has been a Member of Parliament since November 1997 and has held the posts of Minister of State, Minister for e-Commerce, Minister of State for Trade, Minister of State for Europe, Secretary of State for Transport and Secretary of State for Scotland. Douglas was appointed Secretary of State for International Development in June 2007. He is also the Labour MP for Paisley & Renfrewshire South.
