Craig Brown Lecture

Tuesday 28th April

Former Scotland football manager, Craig Brown CBE, delivered a public lecture on ‘Creating Winning Teams’ at University of the West Scotland’s Hamilton Campus on Tuesday 28th April.

This lecture, which was part of the University’s Inspiring People lecture series, saw Brown, who has an impressive career in professional football, look at a variety of disciplines and examine the models for creating winning teams.

Craig Brown, who is the national team’s second most successful manager of all time, received an Honorary Doctorate from the University in 1998 and is also an Honorary Lecturer at UWS.

Appointed football manager of Scotland in 1993, Craig Brown had an excellent record as team manager, taking the national team to Euro 96 and the 1998 World Cup in France.

A University of the West of Scotland spokesperson said: “We were delighted that Craig Brown, who has such a wealth of experience in top flight football management, delivered this lecture, giving members of the public a fascinating insight into the models for creating winning teams.”
