Academic Structure

The Senate is responsible for the overall planning, co-ordination, development and supervision of the academic work of the University. It has particular responsibility under the constitution for the granting of degrees, diplomas, certificates and other awards.

It is also responsible for admission of students and the development and maintenance of academic standards, including the assessment and examination of students.
