Knowledge Transfer Partnerships

  • Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) are available to large companies and SMEs.

The Knowledge Transfer Partnership scheme is Europe’s leading programme helping business to improve their competitiveness and productivity through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills that reside within the UK knowledge base. KTP is funded by Innovate UK Technology Strategy Board with 12 other funding organisations.

    Key Features of a KTP:

    • Projects are grant funded at up to 67% for SMEs and 50% for Large Companies

    • Projects are driven against key company milestones and deliverables

    • A full-time Graduate works in the company for duration of project

    • An Academic Supervisor spends 0.5 days per week on the project

Projects can last from 12 months to 3 years depending on nature of project.
