• Creative Economy Scottish Policy Conference

    The Conference will focus on workforce development and
    education for enterprise and entrepreneurship, in particular,
    looking at the developing role of Higher and Further Education
    in supporting the Creative Industries in Scotland.

    A key outcome of the conference will be a policy statement to
    support the development of the sector and to contribute to the Creative Scotland Action Plan due in April 2010.

    “Never let the facts get in the way of a good story”

    University of the West of Scotland (UWS) hosted an audience with bestselling Scottish novelist Christopher Brookmyre as part of its Inspiring People series, at the University’s Paisley Campus on Tuesday 9 March 2010.

    Under the topic ‘Never let the facts get in the way of a good story’ Brookmyre gave an insight into the depiction of journalism and the media in his fiction.
