    How do you get involved?

Contact the UWS project lead at claire.roxburgh@uws.ac.uk, or go to www.greenimpact.org.uk/uws. Instructions for getting started can be found in the document section of this site.

Any group of staff or students can take part, whether it’s a large department, a small office or a team of students working with their academic school. Any individual can be the team lead for a group.

Green Impact Project Assistants (GIPAs) - Students can also volunteer to work with a staff team and support them to implement the actions of the online workbook to help maintain or improve their Green Impact accreditation. Students undergo training and supervision by the Green Impact Project Leader. Biodiversity Action Plan

A 5 year Biodiversity Action Plan is in place for Ayr campus. The campus is located in a superb riverside and woodland setting which encourages a range of flora and fauna including Otters and Bats. The plan has been developed to protect and improve habitats and increase biodiversity on the campus.

Biodiversity Action Plans will be developed for the other campuses as part of a wider Estates Master Planning Process in the coming years.
