EU Summer School

  • EU Summer School 2015 at UWS Paisley Campus


    Spend your summer studying in Scotland and enjoy a worthwhile learning, social and cultural experience.

    Since 2005 students from our European partner institutions have had the opportunity to study at our Paisley Campus over the summer, an ideal base to explore the Highlands, visit Glasgow or Edinburgh and improve your language skills!  As well as this, it gives students from all over Europe a chance to obtain European Credit Transfer Scheme (ECTS) points.


    This year, the EU Summer School will run from Monday 6th July – Friday 14th August.  

    Who can apply? 

    All EU students studying at a European partner institution can apply to take part in our Summer School.

    Students will be expected to have a good command of written and spoken English. 

    How Much?

    The cost of the EU Summer School is £770.  This includes accommodation, academic tuition and social programme.

    Study Programme

    During the Summer School experience, each student will be required to take part in academic studies for 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) giving you the opportunity to explore the beautiful scenery and friendly atmosphere Scotland has to offer.

    Throughout the six week programme you will study two modules from a range of options in Business, Engineering, English Language, Social Sciences and Scotland’s History.

    Students can choose 2 modules, one from OPTION A and one from OPTION B.

    Social Programme

    Students will also enjoy a social programme which includes a variety of trips and events, including; a Whisky Distillery visit; sample some local fish and chips and an end of school Ceilidh (traditional Scottish Party!) 

    What to do next

    • You will then receive an email with an offer and acknowledgement of your module choices. On receipt of this acknowledgment you will receive instructions on how to contact us to accept your place, how to complete online enrolment (and payment) and then apply for accommodation.
  • EU Summer School students will have the opportunity to stay in the new Paisley Campus (Storie Street) student residence opened in September 2012.
