Exchange Programmes
There are around 1400 international students studying at the University, from the United States to China, and most countries in between.
Every year, the University is delighted to welcome new students from partner institutions across Europe and from the United States. The strong links that have developed with partners and the significant numbers of their students who have successfully studied at this University ensure that prospective exchange students will have a rewarding and exciting experience in Scotland.
For more information about choosing Scotland and the University as your destination for studying abroad, please download the following booklet: Study in Scotland - Guide to the University of the West of Scotland 2009/2010
Staff from the University are available to provide help and assistance from the day students express interest in studying at this University until the day they depart. This includes the application process. There are a number of steps that should be followed by exchange students when planning to apply to the University. Please refer to the Step-by-Step Guide for advice on applying. Please use the EU Exchange Application form to apply.
The partnerships we have with institutions across Europe, under the Erasmus programme, and the United States also allows for University students to study abroad and experience the many benefits of living in another country.
The University requires a minimum standard of English language proficiency. Please visit the following page for more information: English Language Requirements
The University offers a large number of degree programmes and courses within its 3 Faculties so it is likely that the academic requirements of new students from partner institutions will be met.
We look forward to meeting you in Scotland in the future.
