International Students' Orientation January 2012

We are delighted that you have decided to come to study in Scotland, during 2012/13. You will join a large number of international students at the University and we hope that you will have a rewarding experience, both personally and academically, during your time in Scotland.

The following information will help you with your preparations and pre-arrival arrangements. It will guide you on what to do when you arrive and it will provide you with sources of information and support for the duration of your time at the University.

Sources of advice for potential students

Prior to becoming a student at the University, there are many sources of information and support, to assist you with enquiries and problems.

For all general enquiries, please contact the Overseas Team for advice.

Support for enrolled students

The University has an extensive support network in place for all of its students, as well as some resources which are specifically in place to meet the needs of international students. International students:

To receive updates on Blackboard of issues affectng international students, please send an e-mail to internationaladvice@uws.ac.uk with the subject heading 'Blackboard'. Please confirm your name and Banner number in the body of the message.

European students:

To receive updates on Blackboard of information relevant to EU students, please register on the European Student Information Point. The updates will include information on when and where you should attend to have your Learning Agreement signed by the Study Abroad Coordinator.
