Student Life
The University is home to over 1,400 international students of many nationalities who bring a wealth of cultural diversity creating an exciting, international community across our four campuses.
As well as University resources, students can rely on the lively Students' Association for support and assistance. The Students' Association plays host to a variety of clubs and societies where students get the chance to make friends, have fun and take a break from their studies.
The University of the West of Scotland's Chinese Students and Scholars Association is well established and provides support to our Chinese students on an academic and social level.
The University is a member of the national organisation HOST UK, which offers international students the opportunity to experience the customs and routines of British family life by spending a weekend with a British family. Students can either choose to go to a HOST family close to where they are studying or in a part of Britain that they would like to visit. The only cost to the student is the travel fare to get to their location.
