A PhD examining the impact of recovery training on the delivery of integrated drug treatment in services in two locations - North Wales and Worcestershire (PHDSOC022)
The studentship will offer the following benefits:
- A stipend of £12,000 per annum for 3 three years

Open to Home/EU candidates with a first degree in a relevant discipline. Applications should be submitted by 26th March 2010.
The project involves collecting baseline data from clients and services, developing and delivering a treatment effectiveness and recovery training programme to clients and staff, and then assessing the implementation fidelity of the programme and its impact on therapeutic engagement and client measures of recovery capital and treatment engagement.
The project is based on the Treatment Effectiveness Programme run by the National Treatment Agency in Birmingham and the application of the principles of Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (White, 2008) in an applied treatment context in two locations.
The project will commence as soon as the right student is found.
