  • Professional/ industry accreditation is a core priority for all relevant programmes across the School of Media, Culture & Society.

Our Creative Media Academy coordinates the accreditation of our creative programmes, which currently includes Drama UK accreditation for our Performance provision, Joint Audio Media Education Services (JAMES) accreditation for our Music provision, Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC) accreditation for our Journalism provision and Creative Skillset accreditation for our Digital Art & Design, Filmmaking & Screenwriting and Broadcast Production: Television & Radio programmes.

Our BSc (Hons) Psychology programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society and provides the basis for Graduate Registration (i.e. Graduate Basis of Chartership [GBC] with the Society). This accreditation ensures that graduates are able to pursue a career in psychology by specialising through post-graduate study.
