Anna Sznajder graduated from the Faculty of Polish Philology and the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology at Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Anna studied also at Slaviska Institution at Stockholm University (Erasmus), Herning Hojskole in Denmark (CIRIUS) and University of Paisley. Anna pursuing her PhD studies at UWS under supervision of Dr Katarzyna Kosmala and Graham Jeffery. The study focuses on gender asymmetry in creative sectors in Poland and examines role of the women artisans in rural regions.
Her research interests include: folk culture, gender studies, visual anthropology, anthropology of the organizations, Polish literature and language.

Projects
Little Collection of Polish Rural Folk Arts and Crafts
Based in Centre of Contemporary European Studies the project’s aim is to collect unique hand crafted items from Southern Poland (Podkarpackie, Malopolskie, Swietokrzyskie regions) including lace angels, blotting paper flowers, wooden toys and clay decorated items. The curatorial projects with museums, local cultural centers and craft shops are planned.
