RESEARCH INTERESTS

  • Representation; identity politics and visual culture

Researches aspects of construction of identity and gender/sexuality in contemporary (visual) culture, the politics of representation, artists and meaning of work in the precarious condition.

  • Organisation; politics of functioning and organisational lives

Research interests encompass critical and interpretative approaches to analysing creative labour, professional services firms (PSFs), creativity and enterprise in the context of cultural globalisation; art production, arts-run projects. Researches the careers and movements under transitions in the socio-economic and cultural contexts of emerging democracies, post-Socialist spaces, at boundaries and more peripheral locations.

  • Critical perspectives in cultural and visual studies

Writes art reviews and features on construction and representation of gender identity and otherness in the video/new media art, predominantly in the context of new Europe and its politics; curates art exhibitions.
