Geoff Whittam is a reader in entrepreneurship. His main research interests are in entrepreneurship and economic development, areas in which he has published widely. His current research focuses on the informal venture capital market and the role of 'business angels' in enterprise development. Geoff is the elected treasurer of the Regional Studies Association and serves on the management committee of the journal Regional Studies.
