Signposts & Guidelines
The Signposts & Guidelines are an evolving set of online resources to support academic staff in various aspects of teaching and learning practice. Under each topic theme there are selected links to a range of relevant resources available from CAPD and the wider Higher Education sector. The Signposts & Guidelines also include cross-references to one another and to the relevant University strategy or policy.
The aim of the Signposts & Guidelines series is to provide:
The current set of Signposts & Guidelines combines both those highly focussed upon a single specialist topic, e.g. Copyright or Plagiarism, and broader topics which includes a number of sub-topics, e.g. Curriculum Design (which includes for instance learning outcomes & SCQF, employability & curriculum design) and e-Learning. The latter are structured into a number of sections with brief summaries and links to further online resources.
The current Signposts & Guidelines include:
- Assessment
- Copyright
- Curriculum Design (including Employability)
- E-Accessibility
- E-Learning
- Embedding Study Skills in the Curriculum
- Personal Development Planning (PDP)
- Plagiarism
- Special Educational Needs Disability Act (SENDA)
- Teachability
- Work Based Learning
- Curriculum Restructure
