Special Educational Needs Disability Act (SENDA)
Equality and Diversity website
The Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001 (SENDA) requires the University to ensure that all students have equal opportunity to accessing information and resources whether printed or electronic.
It is important therefore, that we ensure that the information and resources we make available to students can be fully accessed and that our learning and teaching practices are aimed towards creating an inclusive curriculum.
For further information on the requirement of the Act see the Enabling Support website.
Each School/Unit has appointed two Special Needs Co-ordinators, Academic and Administrative, to assist staff in meeting the requirements of SENDA.
