Effective Learning Student Users Survey

The first survey of students who used the Effective Learning service took place in June 2010. Students were asked about their experience of using the Effective Learning service; views on current provision; and suggestions for improvements to future provision.

Key results

  • 90.2% would recommend the service to others
  •  77.8% rated their overall satisfaction with the service as excellent or very good.

ScotELAs Conference June 2010 'Literacy Encounters of the Student Kind'

The Effective Learning Team hosted the Scottish Effective Learning Advisers Conference at the UWS Paisley campus on 4th June 2010. The conference brought together Effective Learning Advisers from a number of Scottish Universities. Presentations and discussions focused on the 'Academic Literacies' approach to learning and teaching, and the implications of this for approaches to Effective Learning support.
