The School provides consultancy services in engineering for business, industry and government.
Consultancy can vary from one-off expert advice consultations for small developments to full research collaboration on major projects.
The School uses
strong interdisciplinary project teams, utilising analytical
and experimental facilities to address strategic problems
for industry and government.

Centre for Particle Characterisation & Analysis
The University's Centre for Particle Characterisation and Analysis (CPCA) has been providing responsive scientific analysis and problem solving to industry since 1994 - supporting business and product development, and providing research support services.
CPCA staff specialise in providing scientific analysis and R&D problem-solving services, with particular expertise in chemical analysis.
Our client base of large companies and SMEs comes from many areas of industry and includes customers from the chemical, electronic, manufacturing, biomedical and pharmaceutical sectors.

Engineering Services
Over the years, many engineering companies throughout Scotland and the UK have also used our staff's expertise and facilities for consultancy, testing, measurement and prototype manufacture. Thin Film Centre
Thin
Film Centre is a centre of excellence in Scotland for
the development of deposition processes for thin films, the
design and fabrication of thin film products, the characterisation
of thin films and the dissemination of information about the
