Entitled "Nuclear Structure at the Extremes", the conference will focus on new developments in both experimental and theoretical nuclear-structure physics and the many-body problem, covering a broad range of topics. These will include:

  • Physics of Radioactive Ion Beams
  • Nuclear Spectroscopy
  • The Nuclear Many-Body Problem
  • Connecting Nuclei with the Universe
  • Connecting Hadrons with Nuclei
  • Nuclei as Mesoscopic Open Quantum Systems

The conference will be truly international in scope, with many of the invited speakers from the major nuclear laboratories across the world.

There will be opportunities for delegates (in particular, postgraduate students and young postdoctoral researchers) to present their work via both oral and poster contributions.

In addition to the scientific programme, the conference will include public lectures, a whisky tasking event at the Paisley Museum, and a “conference dinner” at Mar Hall on the banks of the Clyde in the Renfrewshire countryside.
