Courses

Our courses are career focused, designed in partnership with business and industry.    We offer a wide range of courses within: business; computing; creative industries; design; education; engineering; health; languages; science; social sciences; and sport.  Visit our courses section for more details.

Students can choose to study at undergraduate or postgraduate level on a full time, or part time basis, or by distance and open learning.

As with the majority of higher education programmes, the University's courses are taught through a combination of lectures; practical and laboratory sessions; tutorials; seminars; and, where appropriate, fieldwork. Most importantly, the majority of our undergraduate full-time courses also include work placement opportunities.

Full-time undergraduate courses start in September and applications are made through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). This centralised system offers a flexible approach to the application process providing your students with the opportunity to apply for up to six course options. The UCAS site, www.ucas.com is an essential information resource providing you with the most up-to -date information on application procedures and deadline dates.

Part-time study is coordinated by the University's Centre for Lifelong Learning
