What to do if you believe you have flu
Any student or member of staff who believes that they have flu should stay at home and medical advice should be sought.
If you believe that you have flu then you should phone your General Practitioner for advice (do not attend at the GP practice unless told to do so) or contact NHS 24 on 08454 24 24 24 or visit the NHS 24 website.
If you are a member of staff and are going to be absent from the University with flu then you should report your absence to the University in the normal manner (see Staff Absence Management Procedures)
If you are a student and are going to be absent from the University with flu then you should report your absence to your School (see Student Absence Notification Procedures)
