Infection Control
Remember, preventing the spread of germs is the single most effective way to slow the spread of diseases such as the flu. You can protect yourself and your family by:
- Ensuring everyone washes their hands regularly with soap and water and
- Cleaning surfaces regularly
The University has installed anti-bacterial soap dispensers in all toilets and is placing a greater emphasis on the cleaning of contact surfaces, eg door handles, banisters, etc.
You can prevent the virus spreading to others by following the “Catch it, bin it, kill it” procedure.
- Always carry tissues
- Use tissues to cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze
- Bin the used tissues as soon as possible, and
- Wash your hands regularly
