We still need to see all original certificates, when sending original documents for security purposes we recommended student use Special Delivery service within UK or courier services from overseas and the University will return all documentation by the same method.

On receipt of your application we will normally review it within 10 working days. Accreditation of prior learning claims can take considerably longer and may require more information from you. Please ensure you give us all the information we require to prevent delays.

ACCREDITATION OF PRIOR LEARNING

Courses offered by the University are in modular form, each having an associated number of credit points at a particular academic level within the Scottish Credit Qualification Framework (SCQF). This gives students the ability to transfer credit points from previous courses with credit value. This process can be applied for during your application process. To assess credit for prior learning we require detailed supporting information regarding level and volume of points achieved and transcripts where credit level and value is not clear.

This process requires you the applicant to provide us with a letter or certification from the institute you studied at with a note of the credit level (certificate, diploma, degree, years of study, hours of practice) and credit points of the course you studied. A transcript from your institution of study is required in most cases.

Please note this may be a lengthy process and depends on the level of detail in the information you provide us with.

Most of the modules offered on this course can still be selected on a standalone basis as part of continuing professional development to meet the needs of the NHS Knowledge Skills Framework or your professional requirements.
