The Lifelong Learning Academy offers additional programmes of study throughout the year other than modules or academic programmes (CertHE, DipHE, Degree, or Postgraduate awards). Many of these are professional and vocationally-oriented in nature.

I.T CeRTIFICATE (ECDL)

The ECDL component of the I.T Certificate is an internationally recognised IT qualification, validated by the British Computer Society (BCS), which can demonstrate to employers that you have a range of IT user skills. Gaining this qualification also helps to remove any stress and frustration of not being able to use your computer efficiently at home. The qualification is based on becoming competent in the use of Microsoft Office Application Packages.

The I.T Certificate comprises of 7 self-contained modules, each with an associated test, followed by a project.

ecdl advanced

The ECDL advanced qualification is for those who have already attained the ECDL qualification (or a similar standard). Those successfully completing the 4 advanced modules are eligible for the ECDL Expert Certificate, which provides industry approved recognition of this attainment. The ECDL Advanced qualification also provides a route to Associate Membership of the British Computer Society.
