  • John Boothman, BBC Scotland, Head of Political Programmes spoke about the changing nature of broadcasting and the challenges of reporting on politics..
  • Fran Healy, singer/songwriter of the Brit award-winning band, Travis, gave advice on getting ahead in the music industry during a Q&A session with Commercial Music students
  • Jackie Bird, BBC Scotland news presenter, participated in workshop sessions on broadcasting and journalism for Media students
  • Emmy award-winning writer and director Kevin Brownlow, one of the world's leading authorities on silent film, gave a guest lecture to students on the studios and stars of the silent film era.
