Commercial Music students have the opportunity to gain practical experience in relevant areas of the industry including work with DF Concerts, promoters of the hugely successful Scottish music festival, T in the Park.
On completing their second year of study, language students are expected to apply for posts as English Language Assistants through the scheme operated by the British Council.

Media Graduate
" During my third year practical project, I was lucky enough to get a chance to interview Vic Armstrong, BAFTA award-winning stunt co-ordinator. It was thanks to Vic that I got the opportunity to work on the set of the James Bond film, Die Another Day.
The placement, at England's famous Pinewood Studios was a great opportunity. I helped with camera set-up and lighting and liaised with script stunt teams for editing. I also got the chance to discuss the film and the movie industry with actor, Pierce Brosnan and with the movie's director, Lee Tamahori.
Paisley's excellent media degree has provided me with skills and training for success in the film industry. Whilst working on the set of Die Another Day, people commented on how impressed they were with the practical skills and knowledge that I had aquired through my degree studies."
