Research and Consultancy
The Centre is able to provide the following forms of research, supervision and consultancy activities.
- Graduates who are interested in undertaking postgraduate research degrees at Master’s or PhD levels, either on a full-time or part-time basis, are welcome to make contact. Enquiries on any aspect of policing are particularly welcome. Supervision on other criminal justice topics is also available.
- Continuing professional development (CPD) programmes can be made available for criminal justice agencies and for voluntary organisations working in the criminal justice sector. Stand-alone modules from the undergraduate Criminal Justice degree programme are available or customised packages to meet specific organisational needs can be developed. Individuals employed in criminal justice agencies are also welcome to enquire about part-time enrolment on stand-alone modules relevant to their employment.
- Consultancy services can be provided to criminal justice and other organisations, for examples in undertaking scoping or evaluation studies. Media enquiries are also welcome and the Centre already undertakes considerable work in this area.
