The information on this website is designed to inform students with a disability, or specific impairment, of the support, facilities, and resources that are available to assist them throughout their course of study and how to access these services.
Support can be provided in the following areas:
- Pre-entry guidance
- Provision of general advice and information
- Conducting Study Aids and Study Strategies Assessments or help in arranging assessments
- Submission of Disabled Students’ Allowance claims for non-medical personal helpers and/or assistive technology
- Assessing academic support needs
- Assessing special arrangements for examinations
- Help in organising personal support (notetakers etc.)
- Liaison with external agencies, where appropriate
- Help with arranging learning support
- Access to, and demonstrations of, specialist software and equipment
- Short-term loans of equipment, where appropriate
- Arranging on-campus parking for badge holders
- Specialist support from Enabling Support Adviser in Dyslexia
