Maeve Cowper is the Director of Student Services. Maeve has line management responsibility for all teams within the Student Services department, including the Enabling Support Team. Maeve chaired the University’s Disability Equality Scheme Working Group, and is also a member of the University’s Disability Working Group and the Equality and Diversity Board.

Stephanie Sulaiman is the Senior Enabling Support Adviser. Stephanie has line management responsibility for the Enabling Support team and has responsibility for co-ordinating the provision of the Enabling Support Service at Paisley, Ayr and Hamilton campus. Stephanie oversees the provision of information and guidance to students, and has responsibility for the services under the recently established Needs Assessment Centre. Stephanie also conducts Needs Assessments and helps students in the preparation and submission of Disabled Student Allowance applications for funding. Stephanie is a member of the University’s Disability Working Group.

Michael conducts interviews with students who have registered a disability and provides general advice and information on disability queries. Michael also conducts Needs Assessments and helps students in the preparation and submission of Disabled Student Allowanceapplications for funding.
Michael is able to give advice and guidance regarding appropriate software and hardware solutions to suit individual needs, as well as demonstrating how equipment can be used. He ensures that all Assistive Technologies situated in the Hamilton campus are up to date and administers a loan bank of essential equipment which may be accessed by disabled students as they await delivery of the equipment they receive as a result of Disabled Student Allowance funding from SAAS.
Michael provides support for students at the Hamilton Campus.

Linda Murray is the Non-Medical Person Help (NMPH) Co-ordinator. Linda is responsible for managing the NMPH service. Linda also has line management responsibility for the pool of Non-Medical Personal Helpers who are employed by the University. Linda deals with the recruitment of NMPHs, the maintenance of the NMPH database, and the co-ordination of NMPH support. Students requiring NMPH support are referred to Linda by the Enabling Support Advisers, in order for Linda to match students with suitably experienced and qualified NMPHs.

Linda Brackenridge provides Assistive Technology demonstrations and support following referral by the Enabling Support Advisers, providing advice, guidance and information to students applying for a Disabled Students’ Allowance.
Linda has responsibility for the development of the Assistive Technology suites across all four campuses, this includes ensuring faciltites in the suites are current and appropriate to students needs.
Linda also co-ordinates the Assistive Technology loan service across all campuses and administrates the loan bank of essential equipment at Ayr and Paisley campus. The loan banks may be accessed by disabled students as they await delivery of the equipment they receive as a result of Disabled Student Allowance funding from SAAS.
