The funding and advice Team offer help on a range of topics that may be relevant to you during your studies. Some areas we can assist with are:
- ensuring you have the correct funding
- advice on how you can pay for part time studies
- information on trust funds
- helping you meet the costs of childcare
- giving you hints and tips on how to budget your student support
- providing guidance should you need to mitigate or appeal
- helping you apply for repeat year funding if things don't go to plan
- financial support if things get tough
Please see the links on the left hand side to find the right advice to suit your circumstances. Whether you are a prospective student, study full time or part-time or are on a posgraduate course, we will endevour to help you find the support you need to suceed at UWS.

UWS CHILDCARE FUNDs :
IIn August 2009 UWS recognised the additional needs of Nursing, Midwifery and International students and opened a new fund to help with costs towards childcare for these students, who previously had no further discretionary funding support .
Due to high demand there are no longer any childcare funds available from this fund until our new financial year on August 1st 2010. Please check back in the Summer for more information prior to any new funding being made available.
It should be noted that any support from any of our childcare funds will be in the form of a contribution towards your childcare costs and is not expected to cover the full cost.
The fund closed on the 26th of February 2010 for new students. if you have applied and not yet heard back from us please contact us on 0141 848 3803.
