Full Time undergraduates
Full time undergraduate courses are funded by either one of the following authorities:
To qualify for assistance you must be eligible under the criteria set out by each of the above authorities. These criteria may relate to residency, previous study etc. You can use the links above to find out what you're entitled to.
You must apply for your student support annually and should do this as early as possible to avoid any delay in accessing your funding. You can usually apply for your next year of funding before the final exams finish.
Full/part time Postgraduates
Funding at postgraduate level is very different than undergraduate funding. Not all postgraduate courses are funded. SAAS will provide a limited number of funded places to some taught PG courses and you should check with your school to find out if you are elligible for one of the funded places.

The SAAS website explains more about what courses are supported. It should be noted that PGDE or PGDipCE are treated differently than other postgraduate courses.
Part time undergraduate
There are various funding methods for part time undergraduate students and care should be taken to ensure you choose the best one for you. These schemes include:

NURSING AND MIDWIFERY
These course are different to other full time courses and as a result have different funding rules, despite this the Funding for Nursing and Midwifery courses is administered by SAAS. The SAAS website details the financial support available and how you can apply.

If you have failed all or part of the academic year, we can provide help with the following:

- advising on how you can pay for further attempts at the year and what support is available
- helping you budget if you have the added expense of paying tuition fees
