Flexible; students study appropriate modules which are available by evening, day and distance learning. More options are available during the day but the degree can be completed entirely by evening study.



This part-time flexible BSc degree in Information Technology from University of West of Scotland allows you to tailor your study to focus upon particular areas of IT. You can choose from modules covering a broad range of computing courses leading to a range of vendor certifications such as CISCO CCNA, MCITP, COMPTIA A+, Oracle PL/SQL, Developer Certified Associate and Certified Internet Worker (CIW). This will enhance your employability significantly.

Entry Requirements

  • 3 Highers or appropriate experience, or First Steps at University. (mature students)
  • CertHE/HNC* in Computing related subject.
* Some HNCs are credited at 96 credits, additional credit required can be attained from the Level 7 portfolio
  • DipHE/HND in Computing related subject (equivalent to 240 credits).

To complete this UWS Information Technology degree students must attain 100 points of credit (5 modules) in IT subjects at each of the 3 levels of study, plus a further 60 points of study in any subject area.
