Why attend our Campus Open Day?
This is a great opportunity to meet staff and ask questions about the courses you are interested in studying. You’ll be able to explore the University campus and find out about the wide range of student services available at UWS.
Our Campus Open Days are available to all those considering applying to UWS in 2013 and beyond, as well as parents, teaching and careers staff.
At each Campus event, we aim to provide you with information and advice on:
- Our full and part time diploma and degree courses available at the Campus (find out which courses are offered at each of our campus locations).
- Our campus facilities, including tours of our student accommodation (available at Ayr, Hamilton and Paisley. Dumfries with prior arrangement)
- Funding. In addition to the information available from Student Services, a representative from Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) will be available at
each campus event to provide guidance on their student support arrangements. Our online Funding and Advice section has up to date information and links for other sources of funding including those available to students from England, Northern Ireland and Wales.
- What to expect as a UWS student. Speak to current students about their experiences and they will be on hand to take you on a tour of the campus.
If you need assistance
If you have a disability or an access requirement, please let us know before the event by contacting the
Enabling Support team at the Campus you plan to visit, full contact details can be found here. Staff can then discuss and make arrangements for any help you may need on the day.
Our Student Link staff will be available at the general information area to offer guidance and practical support for the open day, or to answer any questions you may have relating to your future studies.
If you would like a one-to-one appointment in a private meeting room, you should contact Student Link directly to arrange this before the open day.

Timings
All our Open Days will be open from 3pm until 7pm and we would suggest allowing about an hour for your visit (so aim to arrive by 6pm).
Campus Open Day Activities
