Anne works in the University of the West of Scotland and leads on international business development for the School of Media, Culture & Society. Key responsibilities include the development of international partnerships, recruitment of international students, internationalising the curriculum and promoting outward mobility for students and staff. She leads on cross-school projects to support the development of academic strategy and international enterprise activity.
Previously, as Head of the School of Creative and Cultural Industries (2008-2014), Anne established UWS as a centre for excellence in Creative Media Education. A key area of interest and expertise is embedding employability skills and work experience in the curriculum.
Anne is committed to working collaboratively with the creative and cultural sector in Scotland and established UWS as cultural partners in the CCA and Film City Glasgow. She worked to develop Scotland’s first 'Learning Theatre' in partnership with Ayr Gaiety Theatre.
Previously a member of the Creative Skillset Network of Excellence Advisory Board and Creative Skillset's UK Research Council, Anne is currently Deputy Chair of the Scottish Drama Training Network.
