UWS is fully committed to supporting economic recovery in the UK in a post-COVID19 world. The University has four Scottish campuses, covering council areas in Ayrshire, Dumfries, South Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire and we have been working closely with local authorities and business partners in these local areas to support our neighbours and friends in these challenging times. Now more than ever, we are keen to support those around us in any way we can.
There are a range of external organisations that can help and support businesses:
Our partners in Renfrewshire may benefit from the Renfrewshire Coronavirus Business Support Fund.
The Renfrewshire Coronavirus Business Support Fund is a £1.3million Renfrewshire Council package of interest-free loans and grants providing immediate help to businesses affected by the pandemic. It has been developed following detailed discussion with 500 local businesses and is designed to make the biggest difference in the short-term to businesses and people self-employed, with all applicants receiving tailored guidance from in-house Business Gateway advisers.
