UWS hosting prestigious 2018 SEEP conference

UWS is hosting the 11th international Sustainable Energy & Environmental Protection (SEEP) conference at our Paisley Campus from 8-11 May 2018.

The 4-day conference provides a forum for both researchers and practitioners from across the globe to discuss recent developments in this field.

The annual conference was established in 2004 by Professor Abdul Olabi of the University’s Institute of Engineering and Energy Technologies with the aim of connecting researchers from all around the world to discuss issues and provide benchmarks to protect the environment by adopting and improving the techniques used to produce energy from renewable sources.

The conference will see over 250 delegates from countries such as the USA, Denmark, Sweden, Cyprus, Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, China, Korea, Turkey, Romania, Japan and many others in attendance. It will cover a wide range of areas related to sustainable energy and environmental protection with a particular focus on industrial-based projects.

This conference will bring together academics and practitioners from countries across the world to discuss industrial-based projects related to sustainable energy and environmental protection
Professor Adbul Olabi, Chair of the SEEP 2018 Organising Committee, UWS

Professor Olabi, added:

"We are delighted to be hosting such an important global conference at our Paisley Campus and playing a key role in ensuring this prestigious event is a success".
