Google Scholar
Google Scholar allows you to search for scholarly literature (journal articles, books, patents) from a variety of sources – academic publishers, professional societies, research repositories etc.
Not all academic publications are published within Google Scholar, so it should be used as one of many sources for a literature search.
How to use Google Scholar
You can set your preferences on Google Scholar to show links to full-text articles in our electronic journals.
- Click on the 'Settings' option at the top of the screen
- Select 'Library Links' on the left of the screen
- In the search box type 'UWS' and select "UWS – Available via UWS Library"
- Save your settings
When you search, look for the 'Available via UWS Library' link to access the full-text (to the right of references in your results list) - this indicates that we have a subscription.
