How to get started using UWS Library
Please read our Welcome to the Library Guide for everything you need to know to help you get started using the Library.
Accessing the Library
You will be asked to log in when accessing any of UWS Library’s electronic resources and services. Always bring your Library card with you when visiting the Library. You will need your card to borrow books.
Students: log in with your student username and password. Your UWS Student ID card is your Library card.
Staff: log in with your username and password. Visit your nearest campus library to register for a UWS Staff Library card.
Library Catalogue
The Library catalogue is named One Search - One Search lets you search for books and e-books, videos, articles, digital media and more. To get the most out of One Search, you’ll need to sign in using your student / staff username and password.
UWS email account
Please ensure you have access to your UWS email account as we will communicate with you by email. We will send you emails to let you know when books you have reserved are ready for collection, reminders when books are due for renewal and a monthly activity statement so you can keep track of all your Library loans.
Self Service Portal
All students and staff members can access the online Self-service Portal to search through the answers to FAQs, log calls or place service requests and review the progress of any submitted requests.
