Interlibrary loan service
UWS Library offers an interlibrary loan service giving UWS staff and students access to material that is not usually held in our collections. A request form must be submitted to a campus library for each item. Requests can be submitted to any of the campus InfoPoints or by email to email@example.com.
Obtaining interlibrary loans from other Libraries involve costs, which UWS Library covers. These costs necessitate the limits as follows:
- Undergraduate (levels 7-10): 5 interlibrary loan requests per academic year for undergraduate students to support their dissertation only. Students who require more than 5 interlibrary loans must pay in full for the additional requests before the requests are processed. Undergraduate students who require interlibrary loans for reasons other than to support their dissertation must pay in full for the requests.
- Postgraduate: 10 interlibrary loan requests per academic year for postgraduate students. Students who require more than 10 interlibrary loans must pay in full for the additional requests before the requests are processed.
- Staff and Research students: The Library will satisfy all interlibrary loans requests by staff and research students within the constraints of the current year’s budget.
UWS also supplies interlibrary loans to other non-commercial libraries. To submit a request, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and include the following details:
- details of the request
- your request reference
- your BL customer-code OR your NULJ code
