Interlibrary loan service
UWS Library delivers an interlibrary loan service giving UWS staff and students access to material that is not usually held in our collections.
Requests can be submitted to any Library Info Point or by email to email@example.com.
A request form must be submitted for each item.
Obtaining interlibrary loans from other Libraries involve costs, which UWS Library covers. These costs necessitate the limits as follows:
- Undergraduate (levels 7-10): 5 interlibrary loan requests per academic year for undergraduate students to support their dissertation only. Students who require more than 5 interlibrary loans must pay in full for the additional requests before the requests are processed. Undergraduate students who require interlibrary loans for reasons other than to support their dissertation must pay in full for the requests.
- Postgraduate: 10 interlibrary loan requests per academic year for postgraduate students. Students who require more than 10 interlibrary loans must pay in full for the additional requests before the requests are processed.
- Staff and Research students: The Library will satisfy all interlibrary loans requests by staff and research students within the constraints of the current year’s budget.
The full cost of an interlibrary loan request is £15.00.
From the 1st of May 2018, requestors who receive copies of articles or chapters from the British Library will need to register and log in to the British Library’s request system, BL On Demand, to access the copies.
UWS also supplies interlibrary loans to other non-commercial libraries. To submit a request, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and include the following details:
- details of the request
