UWS is hosting an inaugural cross-University Student Showcase event at Paisley Campus on Tuesday 22nd May 2018, 11am-3pm.
This event is designed as a platform for UWS students to display their excellence and expertise, celebrating their successes and achievements.
It will provide a forum for students to demonstrate their skills, talent and passion for their subject, illustrating their ability to think critically, creatively and to contribute to the local, national and international economy and society.
The showcase will feature work from across all six of the University’s schools - Business and Enterprise; Education; Engineering and Computing; Health, Nursing and Midwifery, Media, Culture and Society; and Science and Sport.
“We are truly delighted to be showcasing the amazing work that all of our students produce as part of their course - for the very first time in a University-wide event."UWS Principal Professor Craig Mahoney
Professor Craig Mahoney, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of UWS, said: “We are truly delighted to be showcasing the amazing work that all of our students produce as part of their course - for the very first time in a University-wide event. I hope this event will encourage members of the public to visit the University, and to use facilities such as the cafes on campus, whilst giving them an opportunity to find out more about our students and their fantastic achievements.
“I would urge everyone to come along and see first-hand just what wonderful work goes on within UWS and how we are transforming students’ lives through the active learning and engagement that we deliver. I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed.”
The 2018 event is taking place at the Hub, Café and Coats Building on Paisley Campus.
