Public Engagement with Research Award
The Public Engagement with Research Award is open to all UWS staff who can demonstrate that their research involved and benefitted the public and local communities. Click here to find out more about the Public Engagement with Research Award.
The deadline for nominations or self-nominations closed onFriday 13th May 2022.
This award will go to a researcher who has presented a research-led public engagement activity within their research. Research-led public engagement means the researcher has involved communities outside of the academic industry and have encouraged this community to feel inspired by the research.

UWS Researcher Development Award
The UWS Researcher Development Award is open to all PGRs and recognises engagement related to the Vitae Researcher Development Framework and the UWS Doctoral College Pillars:
- Behaviours
- Interactions
- Wellbeing

Recipients of the awards will be officially announced at the UWS Research Festival Award Ceremony on 21st June.
