Career Overview

As University Secretary, Donna is responsible for corporate governance as Secretary to the Court, providing advice and support to members of the Court on governance responsibilities in accordance with the University's Constitution and Standing Orders.

The University Secretary also manages the business of the Senate; the maintenance of Senate's Regulatory Framework; constitutional and ceremonial matters. The University Secretary's Office includes the Court & Senate Office, Legal Services and Resilience & Safety Services.

Donna took on her current role in 2011, as University Secretary and Registrar, having previously been Academic Registrar and Director of the Quality Enhancement Unit at the University.

The Court & Senate Office manages all ceremonial events for the University including graduations, honorary awards and liaison with the University Chancellor.

As a member of the Vice Chancellor's Executive Group, the University Secretary provides advice to the Principal & Vice-Chancellor and colleagues across the University.

Donna holds an honours degree in English Literature and Medieval History and an LLM (Masters Degree in Law). Donna is particularly interested in the history and heritage of the University and leads a range of projects in this area.
