Professor Malcolm Foley is Vice-Principal & Pro Vice-Chancellor (Political Liaison) & Dean of School of Business and Enterprise at University of the West of Scotland (UWS). Previously he was Professor in Leisure Development at Glasgow Caledonian University. Prior to his academic career, he was a research analyst for a large consumer goods manufacturer, then a public administrator.
As an academic, he has published extensively upon the impacts of events and festivity, the phenomenon of "dark tourism" and the role of popular culture.
