Managing the Environment

SPEND THE SUMMER WITH US!

We’re inviting students from our international partners to live and study in Scotland for two weeks in July and August. The Managing the Environment course will be hosted at our Paisley Campus, on the edge of Glasgow.

  • Dates: Monday 29th July (arrival Sunday 28th July)
  • Duration: 2 weeks
  • Campus: Paisley
  • Suitable for: Anyone who has an interest in the environment.  On completion of the programme you will be able to identify hazards in the environment and advise on good practice relating to environmental issues using a variety of skills such as investigations, identification and delivery of appropriate information, both oral and written, appropriate for all levels of employees and senior management.
  • Credit bearing: No
  • Cost: £1600 (EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT OF £100 IF YOU APPLY BEFORE 31ST MARCH 2019)
  • Included: Accommodation, Tuition, Excursions and Social Activities
  • Visas: If you are from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland, you can apply for a short-term study visa. Make sure you check the immigration requirements before applying (visit www.gov.uk/study-visit-visa for more details). You will receive a confirmation of booking and you should carry this confirmation with you when travelling. You can apply for a visa up to three months before your date of travel to the UK. You should get a decision on your visa within three weeks. You will need to attach an offer letter to your visa application. The offer letter is a ‘Booking Complete’ email, which is sent to you once you have booked and made full payment for the Summer School.

Course Overview

At the Managing the Environment Summer School you will take part in activities that will introduce exposure to experts from industry, site visit to a materials recovery centre, structured sessions and workshops on theory and application.  You will have the opportunity to test your new-found knowledge in a research project.
