Student Handbook

  • As a new student you should have received the UWS Guide to New Students which set out the information we thought you would need to prepare for starting at University and into the first few weeks of trimester. All students – new and continuing - will also have access to their Programme Handbook which will be your main source of information throughout the session from anything to do with teaching and study skills to programme and module information; from student involvement to assessment and regulations.

The University will no longer be publishing a Student handbook and instead will be providing all the information you need in the Current Students section of the website. Below you will find a list of the University contacts and websites we think you might find useful at various points throughout your time as a student.

  • Programme Handbook

This should be first point of information during your studies. It will provide the context for your studies and specific details on your programme, how it is structured, approaches to learning and an explanation on how your programme is run and quality assured. If you do not have a programme handbook please contact your school office.
