Applicants switching from a Tier 2 Skilled Worker Visa to a Tier 4 General Student Visa will be considered on a case by case basis .

    English language Requirements

To get the best results from your studies, it is essential that you have a good command of English.

All International students are required to meet English Language requirements outlined by UWS, with the exception of:

    • Native Speakers of English
    • Erasmus students (unless advised otherwise)
    • Non-Erasmus students from EU partner institutions (you may provide a statement from your institution confirming English language ability in place of a formal qualification)

If you do not fit in to any of the above categories you are required to provide proof of your English language ability through a SELT (secure English language test). As a rough guide, an IELTS score of 6 or above (with no less than 5.5 in each skill) is sufficient to enter a course at UWS. IELTS tests should normally be taken no more than two years before applying to UWS.
